South East Grid for Learning

In re-branding the Xeno web site we’ve made the site instantly more attractive and appealing to it’s target audience, teens. This was achieved by the introduction of a ‘hot’ colour palette, a logo that screams attitude and an array of animated ‘beings’ enthralled in various humorous/teen related activities.

In addition we implemented a new, more intuitive navigation system to improve the overall functionality of the site.

It’s now a web site children and teachers not only enjoy logging onto, but enjoy contributing to, well who wouldn’t?

Our second commission for South East Grid for Learning, and our biggest challenge to date. Xeno were eager to launch a new ‘Moodle’ web portal to serve as a first point of on-line learning for children and the educationalists involved in supporting their learning. The brief was to develop a Moodle ‘theme’ for each of three ‘user groups’ – primary children, secondary pupils and adult.

East Sussex County Council approached Jam Jar with a fabulous opportunity – to design and brand their exciting new learning platform. We suggested that the branding exercise should involve end-users, encouraging discussion and engagement within the design process.
