Durham Libraries

Commissioned by Durham Libraries, in partnership with Shoo Fly Publishing, we were asked to design and deliver a reading campaign to invite pre-school children and their families into their local library.

The campaign saw bright and colourful, charming aliens invade all libraries across the County. Aliens pushing shopping trolleys filled high with books were exposed on window flashes, posters, library cards, book bags, bookmarks and activity books. And perhaps most invasive of all, life-size alien cut outs adorned Library entrances to welcome visitors, new and old. Slogans such as I love books, Learn and play and Reading Champ! were used to introduce children to the joy of reading.

The Aliens had landed… unfortunately they enjoyed themselves too much, the didn’t want to leave!
